It doesn’t get much easier than this. Gateway’s coil-over strut and unique spindle replace the original A-arm, coil spring, and shock set-up in 60′-77′ Ford unibody vehicles including Mustang, Cougar, Comet, Falcon, Fairlane, Meteor, Maverick, Ranchero, Montego, Torino. In addition to the Vintage kits, Gateway Performance Suspension has top notch suspension kits for late model Mustangs 05′-14. Kits for Foxbody, Sn95, and New Edge Mustangs are currently in the testing phase.theofficialgatewayperformancesuspensionlogotransparentwhite The Gateway Performance Suspension strut system replaces most of the factory components, including a large coil spring on top of an upper A-arm. The Gateway Performance Suspension strut mounts to the factory shock tower utilizing the three holes that previously attached the shock bracket. There is no drilling on 66′ or earlier cars. You will need to drill 3 holes per side thru the spring retainer plate on 67 and later models. The new spindle mounts to the original ball joint on the lower control arm. Two large bolts attach the top spindle to the coil-over strut. Ride Height is adjusted by threading the strut tube in the lower strut mount to raise or lower the car. A small bolt is used to adjust camber. Performance brakes are included with most Gateway Performance Suspension systems.

Whether you are retaining your stock suspension or stepping up to one of our strut systems, there’s no sense in keeping the original Ford steering system, which is full of lost motion. That’s why Ford switched to rack and pinion for the Mustang in 1974. Gateway Performance Suspension’s power rack and pinion is designed to bolt up to the stock mounting locations with no cutting, welding, or removal of the lower crossmember. While the $1995.00 rack will work with a stock power steering pump, Gateway recommends stepping up to their race inspired KRC Pump system, which performs better and quieter than vintage style pumps. Gateway also offers hose kits for installing either the KRC or factory pump.

To take the vintage Mustang suspension to the max, Gateway Performance Suspension offers a three-link rear set-up that eliminates the factory leaf-springs and their inherent axle hop under hard acceleration. With its super-long torque arm, coil0over shocks, and sturdy construction, the Gateway Performance Suspension three-link provides confidence for attacking corners on the road course or digging in off the line at the drag strip. The $3500.00 package comes with a 9-inch rear end housing; just add your 9-inch center section.
